Rainbow springs

Last Thursday the seniors class' s went to the amazing Rainbow springs with the amazing animals in New Zealand and the Big splash  . 

"Splash!" The ultimate bit to going to Rainbow springs was the Big Splash, because at end of the Big Splash  you go down a huge slide then you get splashed!

There was a bird show in Rainbow spring, we've seen bird do puzzle, bird play games and much more.

I learned about the amazing animals of New Zealand and you learn from the Big Splash too did you know that

   What we did: we made amazing Mocktails that it is a mixed drink.
Why we did it: because it was fun to do.
 What we learn: about millimeters and to read scales.  
Next time I will: try even harder to make it better.
I really liked: that we made mocktails and to do it in groups.

Yesterday my class was learning about force by Rockets.

I think that the Rocket science was amazing because of the different ways of force like air force.

I saw different was of force like transfer of energy or chemical reaction gas.

I wonder that is there more ways of the force.

Reading goal 2017

By the end of term 3 I will be able to write about what I have read and use key words.

Term 4 update
By the end of Term 4 I will be able to describe how the author has used text boxes, call outs, colours and symbols to help share their message. By the end of Term 4 I will be able to identify the key ideas in what I have read and use them to write a summary.

Sustainability project

I have learned about how we can keep our sea clean from plastic.
I liked that we all did a project about sustainability.

Cross country 2017

                                              William from room 4 is running

                         Last Friday we went to the Cross country it was at Redwoods and it was very long.
                       
                         I like that we all ran because it is like a test for running.

                        I think I can run faster if I train harder.  

Into the Woods

If you saw lots of good shows this one is from some of the fairy tales you now in one story. It is Into the woods at the Sir Howard Morrison convention centre made by JPC students and you should watch it now because it is amazing. It’s a story that has lots of characters that are from different stories in one story also how they fit all of the stories they chose in it. The show was amazing it had lots of characters the stage was great also the costumes in the story it had great acting in it and I thought it was great and go there now.

Mini Marathon 2017

                                              On the 5th of May in 2017 we had a Mini Marathon in Government                                                            gardens it was a challenge to me because it was very long to me also                                                      next time I will run better.

                                               Many school came to the Mini Marathon we went in groups one by one.

                                             At the end of the Mini Marathon it was time for the prize giving and last of                                               all we walked back to St Mary's school.

Fireworks Science

On Wednesday, my class did science about fireworks and the first thing we learned was how to keep a fire going. You need heat, fuel and oxygen to keep the fire going.When we put the chemicals on top of the fire, it turned in to green fire. I noticed there was more chemicals, so me and my team took turns with the chemicals and they had lots of colours.

On bike day we measure  a bike with my team. I noticed that it took a while to finish  but we did it on time. We were learning to measure using times tables.  We multiplied the the length of the wheel by how many times it went around.
