Reading Goals 2018

By the end of term 3 I will be able to Understand the detail that supports the main idea in the text.

I noticed that my next goal is to find or select a piece of information when skimming or scanning a piece of text.   

Writing goal 2018

 My writing goal for term 2 is to use a range of different sentence starters to make my writing more interesting.

I now know that using a different sentence starter make it more interesting.

This means I can make most of my sentence better by adding a different sentence starter.

By the end of term 3 I will be able to understand the purpose of writing and my audience.

My new goal is to use more speech marks in my writing.
Update
I noticed that I have been using a lot of speech marks in my writing because now I'm use to using speech marks in my own writing.  

Term 4 
My new writing goal is to spell more difficult words that I can't use the spelling rule on it. 

Maths goal 2018

By the end of term 1 I will be able answer all of my 12 times tables correctly and quickly . 

Update: I now know my 12 times tables ( Mr J tested me too).

By the end of the term 2 I will be able to do my factors of 2 digit  numbers.

Update: I know factors of any 2 digit number because factors of 2 and even factors have a 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8, in the units section.

Update: 29.6.18
By week 5 term 3 I will be able to round off to the nearest tenth. 

Reading goal 2017

By the end of term 3 I will be able to write about what I have read and use key words.

Term 4 update
By the end of Term 4 I will be able to describe how the author has used text boxes, call outs, colours and symbols to help share their message. By the end of Term 4 I will be able to identify the key ideas in what I have read and use them to write a summary.

• By the end of term 3 I will be able to write sentences that start with a capital letter and end with a full stop. 
• By the end of term 3 I will use at least one describing word in every sentence. 
• Term  4 update   
• By the end of Term 4 I will be able plan for writing by listing my ideas. By the end of Term 4 I will be able to add adverbs to describe actions.

• Find<,> and = when decals and equations are involved
• Round off to the nearest thousand
• Round of to the nearest whole number

Term 3:

By the end of term three, I will be able to find factors and multiples of numbers. 96% stage 6
